We Are Platforma: Born from Crisis, Built for Impact

The idea for the Doshka Foundation emerged in the spring of 2023. After months of volunteering in Kyiv—purchasing and delivering medical supplies to those in need—Alexis, the founder of Doshka Foundation, realized that the way humanitarian aid was being provided was fundamentally flawed.

While many efforts were driven by enthusiastic individuals, the sourcing, procurement, storage, shipping, and distribution of supplies were erratic. There was a lack of management, process, coordination, planning, and, above all, basic tools.

The Turning Point

"The turning point came when he discovered that some colleagues were buying supplies for the front lines at local pharmacies, rather than sourcing them directly from medical distributors in Kyiv. A simple phone call could have secured larger quantities at better prices."
